TestimonialsHow do we say thank you for all you have done for my Mother. We ache at her loss, but we take great comfort in knowing that she was loved and cared for, the last two months she was with us. On one of our visits, Mother said to my wife: "Sharon they hug you here". It was so comforting to know, that when we couldn't hug her, you did. We could not give her the expert care she needed, but we always gave her the love. We thank God that you gave her both. We suspect that she was happier with you, than she was for most of the time since my Father died. Mother left this world feeling loved and happy. No othe nursing home could have done more than that. In fact, very few, if any, could have done as much. You are a truly remarkable group of people, and the world could use many more like you. As long as people like you exist, there is hope for this world, and growing old won't be quite so bad. Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you both for being so good to my father Patrick. He is very happy & contented to be living at your retirement home. Your kindness is much appreciated! With fondest memories of you and the sincerest of thanks for the excellent care you gave my Mother Irene Woolacott! Ernie and I want to thank each & everyone at the Residence for making my Dad's (John Stoneman) stay there was so pleasant. It was one of the hardest decisions we ever made, to put him in a nursing home. But when we saw how well he was treated & how he referred to it as his home. We thank the Lord when your place was one of three we looked at. We knew as soon as we went there & saw the nice surroundings & talked to the people. He wqould settle in & we were right, so once again, a big "THANKS"! Think of you often, when I think of dad & how wonderful all you people were to him. He really was happy at your home. We miss him greatly but have some good memories & they are forever. Just a note to say 'Thank-you' to everyone who cared for and showed such kindness to John A Stoneman while he was a resident of your home. He was so happy and so well cared for; and we want you all to know how much we appreciate the hard work you do - we truly appreciate it. It's hard to express how much your care for Mom has meant to me & my family.I always knew that she was getting not just the physical care, but alo the kindness. We will never forget what you have done for Mom and may God Bless you & yours. I never regretted moving Mom to your wonderful home. Thank you, for all the kindness, comfort & compassion you have shown Mom, Myself & my family. There is no way I can relate the peace of mind I have knowing Mom is with you & your beautiful staff. You have so much respect for your residents & their individuality. You give them back their dignity even if many do not show awareness of it. My wife and I would like to express our sincere congratulations and deep appreciation to you, Mrs. Menard, your family and all of the staff at the Residence and others involved with the wonderful party you gave to the residents yesterday. The effort involved, to say nothing of your generosity and thoughtfulness in selecting and wrapping all of those gifts, was quite remarkable. As you know, we were quite reluctant to see Mr. McColl go into a nursing home. Our reluctance was due to our observations of nursing homes in Ottawa and elsewhere. Now that our uncle has been with you for a couple of months it is obvious that, as far as the Residence is concerned, our concerns were groundless. The surroundings at the Residence together with the care and attention given to the people are extra-ordinary. While we see that Uncle Mack is failing, we know that we need not worry about him being in good hands. Please extend our thanks to all those who had a part in carrying off the function. We are now looking forward to the Bar-B-Que to see what you can do for an encore. |
